I acknowledge that I live, work, and play in two regions. Firstly, within the territory of the Treaty 7 signatories—the traditional and ancestral territory of diverse peoples including the Siksika Nation, Piikani Nation, Kainai Nation, the Îethka Stoney Nakoda Nation, the people of the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Métis people within the historic Northwest Métis Region 3. Secondly, within the W̱SI,IḴEM territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ people including the Tseycum and Pauquachin First Nations.

I recognize the enduring strength of the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples, who have been the caretakers and stewards of these lands, waters, and communities since time immemorial. I am committed to supporting Truth and Reconciliation and deeply appreciate the wisdom Canada’s First Peoples have shared about community and stewardship.
